Hello,

I'm currently Pursuing my B.E. Computer engineering (will begin my fourth semester in January) from Mumbai university, and recently discovered about deferred admission programs by universities like HBS, Yale, Stanford. I am very keen on being a very strong candidate for the aforementioned programs and would like to know where I currently stand in the candidate pool and how can I increase my chances as a candidate who got admitted.

My CGPA by the 8th semester will be in the 8-8.5 bracket out of a range of 10.
I'll be appearing for the GMAT in the second half of 2018, I'm confident I'll secure a score of 740 and above.

Extra Curricular Activities :-

I am the founding chairman of a student chapter of a UK based engineering Community, and managing 50+ students who are currently enrolled in the chapter, more to join in the coming months.

I'm currently an active volunteer of a virtual anti extremism campaign, organized by Facebook, essentially into content creation, and my team's content is viewed by thousands of people on Facebook.

I am in the core anchoring committee of my college and have addressed a crowd of more than 2.5 thousand people on campus, in many events in the span of two years.

I have won 4 national level Robo wars and Robo Sumo (including a competition in IIT Bombay), and have in total 6 certificates of first prize in National level Paper Presentation competitions and Project presentation competitions.

I will be interning at JP Morgan from January for a while.

I am also a member of the college's Core Badminton team, and we participate in many national events.

I am a guitarist (in my college band) and a Brown Belt in Karate and also a Semi professional meditation practitioner. (Don't know if this is relevant or not)

Hey dude,
Well so far so good!
I would say for the moment, if you can add a second internship before you apply, keep on doing what you are doing, and see if you can take on a more serious volunteer role in the meanwhile.

Obviously your test scores will play a HUGE role in your application. So gotta nail those.

And finally, think about story. HBS 2+2 doesn't exist so that you can have the security of getting into HBS while you are young, but rather to offer opportunity to people who wouldn't normally go to B-school at this stage (often from STEM industries) to go to B-school.
So your story should jive with that.

I hope this helps!
And feel free to reach out if you have any more questions!
Best,
