Hi
tanmayeb,
Thank you for sharing your profile. Well, your 770 GMAT will help you to compensate for your undergrad GPA. I think you don’t need to worry about your undergrad GPA until and unless you put together the other components of your profile firmly. If you have any genuine reason behind your low GPA, you can speak about it to the adcoms. You can’t go and change your GPA now, but what you can do now is put together a stellar application that will overcome your low GPA. A low GPA provides an opportunity to demonstrate self-awareness and introspection about personal experiences and past setbacks. Explain how a low GPA affected you and what you did to compensate for it. I see a lot of elements in your profile that will help you produce amazing stories. Your work experience and ECs seem to be good.
Your school selection seems all right. You need to focus on your apps and create impactful stories. For your low GPA, You can mention any additional coursework which will help you reflect your ability to survive the quantitative rigor of business school. Your undergrad GPA is a minor part of your application to help connect these dots. So, even if you have a low GPA, it does not diminish your chances of admission to top MBA schools! You can still ace your applications! You may want to read an article on
how to enhance your application despite a low GPA, you will get some insights, and it will instill the right confidence in you.
Business schools look for a combination of academic competence, personal character, motivation, leadership ability, interpersonal skills, professional performance, and managerial potential. It revolves around how you have created your stories and connected the overall narrative to the school's values, community, and goals. Overall a good profile, but a lot of things are missing. I would like to know some major aspects of your work profile and impact. If we are able to create great stories, then you stand a chance at your targeted b-schools. If you’d like, we are happy to hop on a call with you sometime this week to discuss your profile in length and further chances to b-schools. Feel free to
book a free session with us as per your convenience.
Cheers!
