Thanks Bakfed, much appreciated.

I'm just apprehensive about writing about the PL items, given that I only did the analysis behind them, not the decision making. That obviously falls to the Executives....I would think the adcom/interviewers could see through this?

On your resume, you should always put down actionable items, such as P&L. In your essays, you can be much more subjective and stamp your ideas and perspectives. There's really nothing wrong with writing about your extracurricular activities, but as always, tailor your answer to the actual question being asked. It would be bad if you ONLY talk about extracurriculars, but it would also be bad if you have only your work to talk about. Strike a balance in between - no adcoms need to know the way you divide your life up, but they'll be interested in reading why you want an MBA and what makes you tick.

truth is, adcoms know that most people have the entry level...since most people just graduated from college and that it's their first job. No matter how glamorous it is, adcoms will know that the "operations manager" will not be making that 200 million dollar deal or whatnot. The point is, it's fine that it's not the top or the best deal, but it's the initiative, the responsibility, the leadership, and the many other things that adcoms are looking for.
