Hi Pripsie,

That is exactly the approach I would take but be a little less reliant on you recommenders to tell your complete work story for you. I think for a candidate like you your work experiences particularly at those two great organizations is a huge part of where you are at currently and where you are going so make sure its clear how they fit in your roadmap and what are some of the key takeaways from those experiences. But i think your inclination to lean more so to telling a personal story in your Stanford essays makes a great deal of sense given the strength and clarity of your roles at McK and the UN. I would really make this a passion play which the prompt is clearly driving you towards in the essays by making sure to describe the origins of your passion and how the Stanford MBA is the ideal (if not only) program that will allow you to reach these goals
