It's a nice logic, but it doesn't really work like that. It's better to come from a fantastic university as HBS really is very meritocratic sometimes. With the 2+2 program, they are looking for people mostly who wouldn't normally necessarily get an MBA otherwise, which is why so much of their class are STEM applicants (otherwise for finance and business people, the regular program seems better for them), but still, take your shot, and see what happens. But don't worry about your university. It is what it is. Right now your job is to make the best application possible.
