Hello, all. Would love any feedback/advice on my profile....
GMAT: 730 (44 Q, 47 V, 6.0 AWA)
Undergrad: 3.5 GPA from Emory University. Double major in English & Philosophy
Work: Started and operated my own business in the music industry half-way through my last year of undergrad. Spent the first five years as an artist - recorded two independent albums, toured across the US constantly. Over the last year or so I changed the focus of my company and began acting as an independent consultant, assisting artists and companies with artist development, songwriting, licensing, and marketing.
Community: Advisor to the board of a non-profit that presents rock festivals to raise money for childhood cancer research. Regularly participate in similar events by two other organizations (one that also benefits childhood cancer research and another that raises money to fund music education in public schools). About to start tutoring a child at a local homeless shelter.
Post MBA Goals: Would like to continue consulting but on a broader, more international level and in more of a traditional business sector (McKinsey, Bain, Booz...). Also exploring energy trading (very different I know, but I am interested in learning more).
Considering these programs: London Business School, Stanford, Kellogg, Stern, Ross, McCombs, Goizueta, Georgia Tech
