Undergraduate Degree - B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi; GPA - 7/10
Cleared CFA Level I and Level - II; Registered for for Level -III
Class XII - 95% (All India Topper in Chemistry)
Class X - 86%
Experience - 3 years by the time of joining
Employer - GAIL (India) Limited (A Public Sector Undertaking - deals in Natural Gas and Energy Value Chain)
Work Experience - Worked in multiple departments -
- Operational Engineer in Liquified Petroleum Plant (for 6 Months)
- Corporate Planning Department (Worked on numerous green feild project like Waste Heat Recovery, Solar, Wind etc. - too many too list)
- Presently working in Business Development Directorate (Again working on numerous unique projects - most of you have hardly heard of these like Land Fill Gas Project, Clean Development Mechanism, Green House Gas Accounting, Working in Coordination with US Environmental Protection Agency to name a few)
- Was a member of 4 member team sent to Bangkok to study the feasibility of New Naptha Based Petrochemical Complex in India)

I think you have a pretty strong profile. You should be able to gain admission into at least one of the 5 programs you mentioned. Good luck!

Since you are aiming for top schools then a score above 700 is desirable. However GMAT alone won’t determine your chances of admission; beyond the academics will also help you in determining your candidature and your work experience plays a vital role as well. In general most of the Indian applicants are from engineering background with a good 4-5 years of work experience. So you would need to differentiate yourself from others .
Start thinking what makes you unique and what’s that ‘hook’ that will be key to your application. Make sure you follow the ‘show rather than tell’ principle so that the admissions committee could really understand your strengths and differentiating factors Although it is not just the work experience that counts but also what you did there like-what were your achievements, what initiative you took, what changes you drove in your workplace etc. So you need to ensure that in 3 years of work experience you have demonstrated the skills business schools are looking for. This could still put in a strong set of essays for you.
