Undergrad: NYU
School: College of Arts and Sciences
Major: Economics
Undergrad GPA: 2.6
Work Experience: 5 years (2 as Financial Analyst in a media company, 2 as a Financial Analyst in a retail company
GMAT: 650
Looking to get into:
Baruch
Rutgers
Do I have a chance? I feel like I'd need to crack the 700 mark to make up for my low GPA at NYU. Also, I only spent 1 month studying for the GMAT because the applications were due for Rutgers' Fall 2012 class. I spent a majority of my time studying the verbal section. Because of that, I scored in a better percentile in Verbal than I did in Quantitative. If I'm not accepted, I'm looking to reapply to Rutgers and Baruch for the Spring 2013 class. Should I retake the GMAT to see if I can get a better score? Is there anything else I can do to offset my low U-Grad GPA?
I was also considering going to a school like Ramapo or Montclair during the Fall semester and transferring to Baruch/Rutgers if I'm accepted in the Spring. Thoughts?
Thanks for your help.
