Hello,
I would really appreciate any insight you could provide with based on my profile:
1) Brief description of your full-time work experience. What do you do?
I will have worked for five years at Democracy Prep Public Schools when I get to B school. For the first two years I worked directly under the founder and CEO and did consultant-esque work--managing projects, making decks, etc. Then I was accepted to Teach For America and placed myself at our flagship school. I am heading into my third year teaching 7th grade math and my first as a Grade Chair.
2) GMAT (took it today!)
740 (Q46/V47), AWA TBA, IR 7
(Should I retake? It is a little embarrassing considering I'm a math teacher)
3) College info:
Brown University, GPA 3.7, Political Science and Public Policy Concentrations
Took a semester off to be an organizer for President Obama's 2008 campaign in Ohio (where we won).
Master's in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education (simultaneous while teaching), 2014
4) Significant extra-curricular activities or community service.
College: Musical Director of the Brown University Jabberwocks (oldest a cappella group),
5) Important certifications:
Multi-racial, from New York City.
6) Your target programs:
Top 3. Stanford JD/MBA in particular.
7) When you plan to apply?
R1 2014
8) Your post-MBA goal.
Found an education technology company or a school that is technology focused.
Again, any suggestion and recommendations would be much appreciated!
