I am a commercial banker with 15 years of overall experience in various functions in 4 banks in 2 countries in the Middle East (UAE and Saudi Arabia). My background is given below;
I am from Pakistan from where I did my Bachelor of Commerce and Masters in Political Science; however both not with good grades and then completed a prefessional certification i.e. Cost and Management Accountant. Started my career in a Commercial bank in Dubai in Trade Finance then moved to Risk Management and then to Corporate Relationship. Currently, I am at middle level management in a big Regional Commercial Bank leading a team of senior managers, managers and analysts in the field of Corporate Lending (Relationship handling) looking after a portfolio of around USD 2Billion.
I appeared in GMAT some 15 years back and got a score of 700 at that time.
I am planning to move to Private Equity or Consultancy in Singapore and hence thinking of doing an Executive MBA. INSEAD or any good EMBA in Singapore seems to be a good choice as I can do it while remaining in my current job in Saudia and only travelling for some part of the year for some modules which are required to be done on campus. My questions are as follows;
What are my chances of getting admission in INSEAD Global EMBA?
How much score in GMAT shall I aim in order to be considered?
Would my low GPA in my undergrad negatively impact my chances and as the reply would be 'yes', how much?
I mean, would my experience in a multinational and multi cultural environment especially managing a team of managers from diversified countries mix somehow mitigate the impact of my low GPAs?
