Hi! I just submitted an app to Columbia ED. I'm retaking the GMAT and stated this in the optional essay but right now in my practice tests I'm getting a 620. I'm not sure if they would some how let me take it again if they maybe liked the rest of my application? But I think I should be working on applications for other schools just in case Columbia doesn't work out. (and also on improving my GMAT)
My target schools are HBS, Wharton, MIT, Columbia and NYU
My Profile:
- 3.23 BS GPA, 3.46 MS GPA
-Undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering with concentration in biomechanics from WPI.
-Masters degree also in mechanical engineering with concentration in materials science from WPI
-Work experience includes 2 internships with GE and Saint Gobain (another fortune 500 company) and now working in GE's leadership rotational program in engineering. I will have had 2 years of full time working experience with GE once I go to school.
- I want to make a career change into asset management in the short term. In the long term I want to run my own asset management firm.
-Adopted from Tokyo (I am half Japanese, half Dutch) and am fluent in Japanese
-24 year old female working in energy
- Played college sports and held leadership roles in college as well as at work. Was/am a very active volunteer and in other groups as well.
Looking forward to hearing what you have to say!
