Hey guys
I'm currently in Year 4 and am planning to apply for MSc Finance for 2015. I really appreciate it if I can get some valuable advice here. Here's my info as follows.
Age: 21
Nationality: Chinese
IELTS: L8.5 R9 W7.5 S7
Undergraduate: Major in Finance & Accounting, with a 3.2/4.5 GPA at a Canadian university (not top ones). My GPA for the first 2 years is 2.90/4.5, and 3.69/4.5 since then till now (will graduate May 2015). I heard that an upward trend is good for an overall low GPA (I hope so).
GMAT: 770 AWA5 IR8 Q50 V44
Work Experience: 0
Extracurricular: few
I'm planning to apply for Master in Finance in schools in the UK or US, and I still haven't got a clear idea about what schools are within my reach. Can you give some reasonable suggestions? Thank you very much!
Hey there,
So first of all congrats on that crazy good GMAT! Well done!
So, pretty likely you can get into some of the best programs, although I guess about the Top 5 or so will be out of range, because of your GPA plus non-feeder school, and little extra currics.
Getting really good recommendations will be important, so be friendly to those professors!
And if you have any relevant internship experience, it can also be very very helpful.
Best,
JF
