Bachelor in Technology from PESIT, India (Computer Science)
CGPA – 5.74/10
Academic Achievements - Nothing to boast about
Work Experience:
4 years by July 2015
2 years with ITC Infotech as Quality Analyst
1.5 years with a Financial Consultancy firm
GMAT and Application: 640(Q44 V33)
Target schools:
My current list
University of Arizona (Eller)
Boston College
Boston University
Michigan State University (Broad)
University of Illinois—Urbana-Champaign
I want to understand which schools may be good fit for an applicant with my background/work exp/aspirations? What are the top ranked schools I can consider within reach?

Hey there!
Thanks for writing. Well, it's a bit tough to say. Because although your GMAT is about right for these schools, your low GPA might not look that great to them. Not that you can't make it up with other things.. so maybe if you have great volunteer work, or extra curriculars, or something like that, it can propel your profile forward.
Was your 640 on your first GMAT test? And do you think you could score higher with a retake?

This was my second attempt, in the first one I got a 560. But I think I can take my score near 700 next time.
Will 700 in gmat improve my chances to get through these schools and if I apply with 640 which schools should I target?
