Hello,
I am a 25 year old male with 3 years of work experience and will have 4-5 years when I plan on starting my MBA. Here's my background:
- 3.4 GPA in Finance & Marketing from a public university
- 710 GMAT (48Q, 40V), will take again in a few months to aim for a 760+ score
- Passed Level 3 of CFA Exam
- started working for a huge international company in 2012 through their 2-year trainee program in the US with experience in financial controlling, project controlling, risk management, and VBA coding
- currently work for the same international company in their regional treasury center in China as a 'Senior Financial Executive'. The work is essentially as a corporate handyman where I improve efficiencies or help expand the business through project management. So far, I've set up the IT Landscape of the treasury company, designed and implemented a new workflow structure for how we pay foreign currencies in China, and managed a project on cash pool optimization.
- Because of this job, I also have experience in project management
- extracurricular: in the US, I was on a Masters Swim Team. In China, I am currently in a Chess club.
- Volunteer: In China, I teach english to locals
Target schools: Sloan, Columbia, Darden, Haas, Stern
Dream Schools: HBS, Wharton, Booth
Can you please give some advice and criticism on how to improve my profile moving forward? I intend to apply either Fall 2015 or Fall 2016. Thanks!
