Hi,
I haven't given my GRE yet (I am also applying for Master in Economics, and I don't want to give two exams). I will give it in September.
I am planning to apply for an MSF this year. I am currently doing my graduation from University of Mumbai (BA in Economics 3 year degree). I have no relevant work experience, although I do have some other work experience completely unrelated but part time (so I am guessing it doesn't count?).
I have a CGPA of 5.09 on a 7 point scale (around 3.00 on a 4 point scale) in my first two years. My GRE Mocktests have given me an average of 310-315 (Quants around 160-162). I know it's a weak profile (I have lots of extra curricular work if it matters). I don't want to waste years for experience because the jobs I would get here would be low in income and probably very low intellectual effort would be required. I wanted to know which programs(Europe and US) could I apply to? I have considered all pros and cons so please just give me an idea of where I could apply to.
I don't know what that GRE converts to, but assuming it comes in at around a 650'ish GMAT then I would say you should target Santa Clara, Johns Hopkins, maybe Ohio State. UIUC would look at you. Case Western. Maybe U Houston if you wanted Texas. Tulane might be a good option, they have a big international class. Maryland.
That's a list of some good names that you could get into. Please note that you will face difficulty finding a job in the US. It is hard for internationals to get sponsorship.
