Hi there!
I can see by your username why you may not want to go very far west! Your GPA is strong and your political work experience should be interesting and help to differentiate you from other applicants. 8 years experience is a little on the high end but still within range. Your GRE score is pretty solid too....translates to roughly a 650 GMAT as you probably know. For some schools, I could see them wanting your quant score a little higher, though I'm not sure if have any quant coursework in your background, or how much that's a part of your job.
Also, what are your post-MBA career goals? Anything else you're seeking in an MBA program?
Off the cuff some initial schools that come to mind...
Yale and NYU (their average quant score is a bit higher than yours but it might be worth a shot)
Michigan and Duke (not sure if those are too far?)
Cornell
Tepper
Georgetown (your score would be above average there so safer than the others)
It's possible you could aim higher (i.e., Columbia / Booth / MIT / Wharton), I just don't know enough about your profile and what you're looking for in a program. Feel free to write back with more information or if you'd like to chat, you can sign up for a free 30 minute phone consult here:
