Hello there, I am applying for MBA in two business schools W.P Carey and Scheller. I am going to give GRE (both business schools accept GMAT as well as GRE) on 11th of January and i hope to get 310+. Moreover i have no work experience as I will be graduating in June 2016. i want to know that will having zero work experience may affect my profile badly. Also my CGPA is 2.43. So kindly brief me on this thing? Also I am writing personal essays these days. Furthermore tell me that can I be a suitable candidate by applying with this profile.

Hello! Good luck on the upcoming GRE - I hope you reach your target score! That will be important too since your GPA is below average. So, if you don't reach your target score on your first attempt, be willing to take it again, as schools will always take your highest. Typically they look for a few years of work experience, and 3-5 years on average, but that's not a dealbreaker. You will still need to show that you have strong leadership potential, either through extracurricular activities on campus, summer internships, volunteer work, etc. Also, make sure you include in your essays clear reasons for why you need your MBA and why it makes sense for you to attend business school now. Thanks for your reply, talking about essays, I have joined many societies and clubs which are responsible for personal grooming and inducing leadership sills in individuals. Also I am the President of Sports Society in my campus. Also i have done many volunteer works in my campus and abroad. My main volunteer work was in Mauritius in 2014 to help Mauritian entrepreneurs in marketing of their products and also financial analysis of their business. This work has been done by volunteers from 75 countries all over the world and lead by 5 persons including me. Coming to the internships, I have done three internships in my undergrad level. Two of them in process industry and one was incorporated with an international NGO. Moreover I have represented Pakistan in international competitions and business conferences held in US, Mauritius and Phillipines. Furthermore i have experience of project management and event management in different locations. So I have to incorporate these things into my essays. Can these things make a big impact while having low GPA and my targeted GRE score of 310+ and with good letters of recommendation from professors?
