Post MBA Plan: Short term - Have entrepreneurial Goals
Regional Preferences: US, Europe (Top 10 in the entrepreneurship category)
Constraints: None
Plan to enter: 2017
GMAT Score: 720
GPA: Percentage of Marks Obtained: 81%. In Indian Scale, it's 8.81/10. If I have to convert to US scale, then it's a 4.
Leadership Positions: a) Placement Co-ordinator: Ensured placements for the entire university. b) Convener of Tech Fest
Extra-Curricular Activities: a) College Cricket Team, b) Medals in Athletics, Cricket and Football, c) NGO Activities: Volunteering, Blood Donation Camps, Athletic Meet for Handicapped Children

Preferences: Would prefer to choose the product management line post MBA as a short-term goal. In the long run, will definitely set up my own firm.
Let me know what are my chances to get into the top 10-15 B-Schools. Some of them which I shortlisted - Columbia Business School, MIT Sloan, Yale, Haas, Booth, Ross, Kellogg, Wharton, Harvard, Stanford. Please let me know if these are feasible options. Would be great if you could help me out with school shortlisting.

Hey Abhirup,
Great to hear from you!
Overall you have a very nice profile. Solid grades, a great GMAT, a fantastic employer, with a very fast track development.
The two major weaknesses I see in your profile are your applicant pool (Indian Male IT.. sorry!
) and UG school (the vast majority of Indian folks in Top 10 schools come from IITs or NIT).And I think your volunteer work/ECs are average. But your experience Samsung is quite strong.
If you ask me, I would advise that you concentrate your application on schools in the 5-20 ranking. applying to only Top 10 schools would be a bit risky for your profile since the applicant pool is soooo huge and competitive, but if you focused in on the Tech-oriented schools in Top 20 (Sloan, Haas, Stanford, Tepper, UCLA, as well as some of the other good general management schools (UNC, Johnson, Tuck, Duke) with McCombs as a safe school for example, that would be an example of a much more reasonable strategy).
