gmatmonster
Hello,
I would really appreciate if one of the consultants could evaluate my profile and give me a generic idea whether my GMAT score is decent enough to apply to the following schools—
• Fisher
• Kelley
• MSU Broad
• UNC- Kenan Flagler
• Mays- Texas A&M
• ASU- Carey
• Krannert- Purdue
• Rice (Jones)
• Foster- UW
• Smith- Maryland
Profile-
GMAT Score- 680 (Q48 V35)
Work Experience- 3.5 years by the time I start school in Fall 2017
Undergrad- Mechanical Engineering (from a Tier-2 University in the US)
Undergrad GPA- 3.2
I am an Engineer and work for the Facilities Engineering & Operations for one of the largest universities in the US. My job at work entails a lot of management of projects and vendors apart from the engineering aspect of it. I have also been heavily involved with various organizations on campus as an advisor or a committee member. I have some relevant leadership experience and a little bit of volunteering experience as well. I plan on applying for Round 1.
Considering my background and work experience, do you think I have a shot at one of the above mentioned schools with my current GMAT score? I understand that my undergrad GPA may not be very impressive, would you recommend writing GMAT again to compensate for it? I may be jumping the gun here, but do you think I have any chances of getting a scholarship with my current score and profile?
Thanks in advance for the response. I really appreciate it.
Hey there,
So far your profile seems quite solid but I will need more detail to give you a real profile evaluation:
Regarding work: How quickly have you advanced? Do you have any leadership? What are your great achievements? Do you have notable community service or extra curriculars?
Also it will help to know a bit about your goals, and what gender you are
Best,
Jon
