GMAT: 690 (42/42 6 IR)
Undergrad GPA: 3.93 (Economics from Hofstra)
Mfin GPA: 3.59 (Corporate Finance from Washington University in St. Louis)
Work Exp: 3.5 years (4 years at matriculation)
Current Title: Corporate Development Manager at rapidly growing pharmaceutical company
Previous Experience: 3 years in business valuation at Deloitte/KPMG; 0.5 years at hedge fund.
Only seriously considering Stern's part-time program. My employer will cover 90% of the cost. I'm looking to develop more of my soft/managerial skills. I'm also interested in the strategy component/aspect that I wasn't really exposed to in my previous positions and academic degrees.
What are my chances?

You have an excellent profile for the Stern part-time program. The application standards are significantly lower for PT, so no problem getting in there if your application is on point. If you're open to it you might also consider Columbia Friday Saturday or Saturday. One of my clients was recently admitted to the Saturday program but the deadline is past however Friday Saturday is still up coming I believe. Definitely go for it. I'm kind of wondering why you're limiting yourself to NYU though. I think you would be a good fit for a number of programs, I helped an Indian guy get into Wharton EMBA with a 700 GMAT and he was very over-represented so I think you would be competitive. I just like to see people go to the top program they can get into. If you're in New York, I can understand the appeal of staying local but a lot of the other programs meet every 3 weeks like MIT or monthly like Ross or Kellogg. (Kellogg is a phenom great school for leadership and soft skills). So the location becomes kind of less important when the convenience factor is equalized by how often youre meeting.

Yale might be another program to consider. If you're looking to stay in pharmaceuticals then I would recommend Columbia, Yale and above all Kellogg, which all have healthcare focus...MIT as well

However that said, right now I'm working with a part-time applicant who also will be enjoying employer sponsorship and she is considering PT programs in Chicago (Booth, Kellogg) and New York. Her thought process is that given the MBA won't cost her anything, the travel is really a small price to pay for a top MBA.
