Hello everyone,

Do i stand a chance for getting an admit with the below profile ?
I feel my academics are not as strong as other Indian candidates but i have good profile in terms of the company (McK) and exposure.

GMAT - 710 (38V, 49Q) AWA-5, IR-6
India Male, Mechanical Engineer
College: NIT, Hamirpur
CGPI: 7.74/ 10
Work ex- 4 years till date in Procurement division (2 years in Maruti Suzuki and 2 years in McKinsey & Company)

Other extra curriculars: College level football player, lead of social initiatives, Helping an NGO, cleared Air force Selection test (SSB- written exam and physical), vocalist (part of music club)

International Exposure: Worked at several locations at client locations in engagements across 2 countries

Career Goals: I am very sure about what i want to be in the future. Short term goal is to go into consulting in Procurement practice. Long term goal is to be a CPO. I have not decided the industry since i want to explore more of it.

What i am looking for in an MBA: Enhancement in Problem solving skills, leadership skills, Handling extreme business conditions and exposure to rich alumni and students.

Do i stand a chance in getting into this college and does it align with my needs ?

Thanks for your help.

Your profile seems good enough, but results will depend on how your present your story and your accomplishments.

Your GMAT score is low compared to the normal Indian applicant and your profile is not unique. Colleges are going to get many Indian applicants who have similar GPA to you, higher GMAT and similar or better work experience, so for them to choose you, you need to show them the best version of you.

You will have a much better shot if you increase your GMAT by at least 20 points.
