hi all,

I have completed masters of dental surgery from india. Have been a university ranker and secured numerous awards during graduation and postgraduation.

class X- 86%
class XII- 83%
bachelor of dental surgery - 72%
master of dental surgery - 71%
conducted various dental screening camps along with rotary club in india

worked as senior lecturer in dental college and a consultant dental surgeon for 4 years. Filed for canada PR, and moved to canada 8 months back. thought of learning something new and make a career switch through MBA. Yet to give my GMAT. kindly evaluate my profile and my chances of getting admitted into a good business school. I would be extremely thankful if anyone could provide me the information on the career prospects post MBA . As I am not from technology background i am not sure about the job opportunities i will be having post MBA.

Thanks in advance

Hey there,
I’d love to help you out but without more info it’s gonna be hard.
There's no problem applying to an MBA as a dentist, but it also should be justified: what are your plans afterwards? why do you want an MBA? What about your GMAT? Have you taken that yet?

Where do you work? What do you do? How quickly have you advanced? Do you have any leadership? What are your great achievements? (think not in terms of dentistry as much as in terms of leadership/business) Do you have notable community service or extra curriculars? Which school did you graduate from?

All of these will play important roles in your evaluation.
Best,
Jon
