Hi all,
Below is my profile; I would very much appreciate if the admission gurus on this forum could chime in and give their feedback.
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: South Asian
Citizenship Status: Permanent Resident in the US
Undergraduate:
I went to a small, private university in St. Louis, MO. I graduated with a 3.95 CGPA with a degree in Business Administration (General) in December 2015.
GMAT:
I scored a 700 (Q44 52%/V41 94%). Although I had been consistently scoring well above that on all my diagnostics, I do not plan to retake it. I would like to proceed with this score.
Post UG:
I worked as an auditor for a year and then transitioned to an accounting and financial services role within the same firm. Currently, I am working as a consultant and manage the financial operations of three non-profits in Washington, DC.
Along with working, I also started my own company with a colleague of mine. We essentially supplied athletic apparel and other articles of clothing to various brands. Unfortunately, due to some other commitments and the kind of arrangement I had with my partner, I could not continue working on the company. As a result, we parted ways professionally.
However, related to that, I am currently in the process of launching another business that revolves around clothing. Unlike my first venture that targeted distributors, this time I am directly targeting the end consumer.
Post-MBA:
My plan is to develop a critical understanding of businesses. I would like to establish a career in consulting and focus particularly on developing markets.
The schools I’d like to attend are as follows:
Darden (UVA)
Kellogg (Northwestern)
Fuqua (Duke)
McDonough (Georgetown)
Kenan Flager (UNC)
I would really appreciate any feedback, along with further recommendations on schools I should consider in addition to the ones mentioned above.
Thanks!
