Hi my name is shubhashish sharma and I wanted some guidance from you guys. Let me tell something about myself

I am a CFA Charterholder i.e all three levels cleared with about 4.5 yrs of work experience, I am also a CA intermediate cleared student and have completed my bachelor's degree with a 55%. My gmat score is 640 and IELTS is yet to be given.

Extracurriculars

I was a national level swimmer, a zonal level volley ball player and also a badminton player, I have worked with 3 different NGOs in the past 3 years.

I wanted to know which are tbe best universities I can get admitted to in the MS finance program considering my profile.

Also how is the SMU COX SCHOOL OF BUSINESS MS FINANCE program? Also do I have chances of getting into mc combs, babson etc.??

Thank you in advance :)

Why is your GMAT so low? This is what is going to hold you back. CFA is great. Work experience is great. CA is nice to have. I think you might have a change with SMU. Babson, sure. Mccombs, doubtful.

Get that GMAT a little higher and you'll be much more competitive.

Depends on geography. Both are comparative schools. Boston probably has a geographic advantage, especially for an international student.

You seem to have a fair profile. Here are some of the points that can be assessed:
You have some good extracurricular activity and volunteering experience which can be highlighted to add value to the profile.
You have substantial work experience which can prove to be a defining factor in your profile.
Your CGPA is a bit on the lower side but that can be compensated by highlighting other parts of the application well.
The GMAT score is again on the lower side. A score of 690+ will set the space for you to get into a top B-school. As an advice, you can go for the GMAT once again and go for a better score to make your profile stronger.

However, you will need to have a better GMAT score in order to increase your chances of admission to these schools. In case you do not wish to reappear for the GMAT, you can take a look at Sobey School of Business in Canada which does not require GMAT for its MSc Finance program.

For schools like McCombs and Babson, you will need to have a better GMAT score to in order to increase your chances of admission because they are considered to competitive and rank higher.

SMU Cox School of Business is one of the top B-schools offering the MSc program in the United States. As such, obtaining and MS Finance degree from it will pave ways for numerous career opportunities.

We can help you apply at the top business schools and help you find the best school that complements your profile. You can check out our All in One service for all-rounded help in your application.
