Hi there,

I would like to start my MBA in Sep 2020. I will have 5 years experience in the renewable energy industry (offshore wind farm installation) as a project engineer/manager. I got my degree Msc in Environmental Engineering at Ghent University in Belgium. I finished my Master with great distinction.

Other important points:
-GMAT 710 (Q50/V36)
-I want to transition to a finance role (investment banking)
-Belgian nationality - 26 years old now
-My preferred schools are: LBS/Oxford/Cambridge/Insead/HEC

Are the above schools possible for me?

Yes you definitely have a shot at those schools & I think you have a good list. Since you are coming from a non-business background (and since you have some time before you start on your applications) it would be great to increase your GMAT score if you can. You are right around the average for many of these schools & if you can exceed their average that will differentiate you & strengthen your candidacy. A lot will also depend on your ability to show the impact you've had at work & given your role it sounds like showing business impact in particular might be tough, which is all the more reason to improve your GMAT if you can. All in all though, assuming some strong essays & a strong argument for your goals/why MBA I think you are on target with schools!

Hello DorianH1992

You have great list of schools for your transition to Finance.

Good news is that, your profile is strong and your GMAT score is suitable for admission to all of those schools.

Here are their average GMAT scores and ranges :
