Dear Admission Consultants,
I am planning to apply MBA in 2 years time (2021 Intake) and I haven't taken the GMAT. I am targeting schools in US/UK (M7, LBS, Cambridge). I wish to have some idea about the areas I should improve on.
My profile:- Male, Hong Kong, 24 years old
Education:- Undergrad: UK top 10 uni, Accounting and Finance, high 2:1 (convert to GPA: 3.6)
- Postgrad: Global top 20 b school, Finance, distinction (convert to GPA: 3.7+)
GMAT:- N/A (I am still new to GMAT, I believe 730+ is too high for me, say 690-720?)
Work Experience: - Industry: Valuation & Advisory
- Worked 1.5 years in a well-established valuation company, working on excel/modelling day to day
- Currently work in a start-up, apart from the normal job duties, I also assisting my boss to develop new business services (building model and report template)
Professional Qualification:Due to the job requirement, I have taken serval professional exams:
- Currently CFA Level 3 candidate
- Passed all FRM exams and CAIA Level 1 exam
Extracurricular Activities:- Serval student leading positions during undergrad, including student council, politics/social service society and music society (as founder and chairperson)
- Serving as accompanist, youth fellowship committee in Church
Reason for MBA:- School brand, networking opportunities, career advancement
Post-MBA Goal:- Strategy, M&A related
- Industry: Private Equity, Management Consulting
