Hi All,
Need your Advice for MBA in Canada.
Btech: 66% avg
Work exp: 2.8 years in IT Industry
Gmat: 560
IELTS: yet to give.
I am aiming for Uni Calgary, Uni Windsor, Alberta business school, Degroote Bschool, Dalhousie university.
What are my chances of getting admits to these with my current profile. Or should I take the gmat again?
Also how are B schools that accept only IELTS interms of job prospects and ROI?
Thanks in Advance.
Posted from my mobile deviceHi Sooraj,
The schools you're targeting are tier-2 schools in Canada.
Haskayne - Calgary, Alberta and Degroote will be slightly difficult to get in as their average GMAT score is around 600. But you should be ok with Windsor and Dalhousie. You may want to look at:
1. Ted Rogers Ryerson
2. Beedie SFU
3. Lazaridis WLU
One of the reasons why candidates target higher ranking schools is to get better jobs. When you go down the list, the tuition fee, average GMAT score, etc all become less competitive. And obviously it will affect your job prospects too. However, going to a top-notch school doesn't guarantee success or even pursuing an MBA for that matter. So to answer your question, a school that doesn't require GMAT will definitely not be as good for job prospects. ROI may be good. Hope this helps.
Good Luck!
