Hi my name is Himanshu Laxkar 28 male, from India.
Bachelor of Engineering, (Information Technology) from Jabalpur Engineering College, which is one of the oldest colleges in the country. It was established in 1947. I got 66.2 % in undergrad. GMAT score 750.
I also stood 1st or 2nd rank continuously in my class from 1st to 10th standard during school.
I have 3 years of work experience as a software developer at Accenture which is Fortune 500 company. My role there as a team member was to develop website for UK based Carphone Warehouse. I got 1 promotion also during this period.
I have been associated with the Art of Living organization for 7 years. It was founded by His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. I have been part of a team there for organizing different events and programs, visited old age homes, gaushalas, apart from weekly follow up on Saturdays or sundays, when we do yoga collectively at the center.
I was also a member of team at my college for organizing Tech-Fests, Ted-x events etc.
Kindly, tell me do I stand a chance in the following targets schools of mine, or do I need to think again about my target schools:
Kellogs, NYU Stern, Ross, Yale, Kenan-Flagler, Kelley, Duke
Also, is there any chance of getting a scholarship with this profile ?
You have an excellent GMAT score. Although you fall in the over-represented category of IT Male Engineer, you have a decent shot at Kenan-Flagler and Kelley
Duke and Stern will be tougher. Kellogg, Ross and Yale will remain in the ambitious category.
What is your post-MBA goal? It looks like you should have more than 3 years of work ex. If you fill out this form (
) I can help you shortlist the right school for you. It'll be on the house so don't worry about the cost.
Hope this helps.
