Hi,
I would like to get an expert opinion for my profile evaluation and gauge my chances of getting into Tier 1 business school.
my details :
Name: Suchitra Panda
Citizenship: India
Age: 25 years
Total work experience: 3 Years 7 months.
GMAT score: yet to appear
Education Details:
Class 10th Score(2009): 90.33 %
Class 12th Score(2009-11): 63.33%
Undergrad (2012-16): B-Tech in electrical and electronics eng from Siliconl institute of technology, Bhubaneswar. (private institute)
CGPA: 8.03(as per GMAT conversion this is 4 out of 4?)
Work experience:
1. Infosys Limited
Department: Cyber Security
Position: Technology Analyst ( Promoted twice in 3 years)
Role: Understanding client requirements and suggesting the IDM capabilities to the client. worked really hard to showcase the leadership quality, currently managing a small team of 2 people excluding me in a new project.
International exposure:
I recently got my international visa(Australia) granted and might be traveling soon.
Extracurricular activities:
1. twice bagged the chitrakala academy award (state-level art exhibition) for watercolor painting in 2008/09
2. Volunteer - GiveIndia , sponsoring a child for education
3. active member of Akanksha, a CSR initiative at Infosys. (supported in multiple causes)
4. apart from painting, I recently started writing Odia short stories.
Languages Known: English, Hindi, Odia
Target Schools: ISB, IIM A/B/C
I know couple of things in GMAT such as exam/pattern/books .(thanks to GMAT_club )
Based on my profile can you please let me know which are good reach schools.
I would really appreciate it if you can suggest if my profile is good enough to try or I can improve it.

Hi Suchitra! I'm less familiar with the Indian business schools compared with ones in Europe or the US, but a good first step to building a list of schools would be getting that GMAT score so you can see how you actually stack up against the profile averages. For better or for worse, it is an important factor in admission that you can't really ignore. Then, looking at the admit rates, your GPA, years of experience, professional accomplishments and leadership, you can begin to build a list of reach, target and safety schools based on how you stack up vs. the competition. I notice that ISB for example has an acceptance rate of only 22%, meaning that it's quite selective. Its GMAT average looks to be around 710, so see what you can do to beat that score.
