Hi,
I am planning to pursue MBA from a globally reputed college. Past few weeks, I've been reaching out to people for suggestions and best suggestion I could get is to post my profile for evaluation here. I hope to get good feedback on my chances for colleges. Thanks in advance

Age: 26
Nationality: Indian
Work Experience: 4+ years
Current profile: Senior Research Analyst in an Indian firm, working with sell side equity research analyst in global bank (Finance; Investment bank)
Major assignments: Initial Public Offering research of two European firms; Industry initiation with 9 firms (total initiations > 13 firms)
Skills: Equity valuation; financial research and modelling
Education -
- Under-graduation: Civil Engineering (Tier II college: Among top 10 percentile in batch)
- Certifications: CFA (all levels cleared with > 90 percentile score); Post graduation certification in finance (Tier I college: 2nd in the batch) - specialized finance course with exposure to MBA faculty and college resources
Extra activities -
- Active participation in community development: Currently leading a social project to provide better access & knowledge of Literacy, Health & Hygiene and financial literacy facilities to local communities. Hi, and thanks for writing! Looks like you have some strong elements of your profile - 4 years at a global bank, the CFA, and active community involvement. However, in order to suggest target programs, I'd really need to know 1. what your short-term and long-term post-MBA goals are (you mentioned interest in impact investing firms, but not sure what your desired short and long-term path is) 2. geographies you're targeting - where are you open to being after graduation? 3. Your GMAT score - admission is fiercely competitive for Indian applicants, so this is a notable factor 4. the quality of your work experience to date: Have you been promoted? Led initiatives? Received special recognition? Had significant increases in responsibility/compensation?

Thanks for writing back. Here are my career objectives -
1. Short term goal - Immediately after MBA, I'd really love to work with a multinational development institution such as (world bank), ADB and CDC.
2. Long term goal - Would like to start my own impact investment firm in order to provide innovative solutions in India
3. Geographies - UK, Canada and Singapore are the preferred locations. I would love to hear other suggestions as well.
4. GMAT score - Currently preparing for GMAT and plan to take it in June. I, however, feel uncomfortable with question adaptive nature of GMAT and planning to switch for GRE. Would that be a good move?
5. Quality of work experience - I've been promoted twice in my organisation and over the course my role has also evolved in terms of responsibilities. I lead the team level projects and mentor new associates at workplace.
6. Other initiatives: As mentioned above, I am currently leading a social project with local communities to provide better access of financial, literacy and health products to underprivileged. Along with the team, I helped raising funds for the local NGO as well.
