Education: Double Bachelor’s Degree: 1) Economics and 2) Management from a Top 3 Mexican University.
Certifications: CFA Level I
Academic achievements:
• Graduated with highest honors from both Bachelor’s.
• GPA 9.2/10. Top 5% of both Bachelor’s.
• Beta Gamma Sigma member.
• Academic research award for my thesis (dissertation).
Experience:
4 years of experience in an Investment Banking Boutique in Mexico, promoted 3 times. Leader of the team that conducted several projects in different industries. Also, in charge of the communication between the firm and the clients.
GMAT: 670 (Q49, V33).
Extracurricular: Professor assistant, part of the student’s council and national soccer champion in high school.
Post-MBA goals: Work in Private Equity or Investment Banking for some years and in the medium- long term establish an advisory firm.
Target Schools: Wharton, Chicago Booth, MIT Sloan, Columbia, Berkeley, Stanford, LBS.
Application Date: Round 1, 2021.

Strengths: You have great academic credentials including but no limited to your grade point average, the caliber of your school and various recognitions you have received. At a high level, your work experiences seems appropriate for admission to a top US school. Of course, I would have to dig in more deeply to assess how that would all play out in an application.
Weaknesses: Your GMAT score is going to make things really tough for the schools you have listed. You really need to do, at a minimum, 20-30 points better. Since you are not applying until R1 2021, you should absolutely prepare to take the exam at least one more time. Additionally, your extracurricular activities seem a bit thin. You need to pick up 1 or 2 more activities. Also, accomplishments from high school will not count. Lastly, your career goal is a bit unoriginal. You will need to put forward something deeply personal and specific for your application to sing.
