dhimanud:
You do have a chance but it would have to be at a school on the lower end of that scale. You unfortunately have many elements working against you. You come from a competitive demographic, your years of work experience are well-below the average, your GMAT score is concerning, and your GPA is just okay for an engineer. So, what can you do about these four matters?
1. Competitive demographic: for better or for worse, you can't change this! You are who you are and that's totally fine.
2. Years of work experience: you don't have to apply now. Why not accumulate more years under your belt? That will take pressure off of your GPA and will hopefully give you more meaningful experiences to talk to in an application essay.
3. GPA: you also can't change this! Outside courses are nice but won't move the needle.
4. GMAT: why not take the test again since that was only your first attempt? This is critical.
I am sure you have great extracurricular activities and leadership initiatives to speak of but all that will become secondary if you can't fix 2 and 4. When are you planning to apply?
