StratusDonna thank you very much for your input and professional opinion. I will schedule a free consult for sure.
Well there's good news and bad news--- good news first-- US MBA programs generally do not count international gpas into their stats because it is just not an apples/apples thing and the conversion is not something that you should worry about so much.

In terms of "lesser" good news--- aka the bad news-- The more concerning thing I suppose is that you graduated 216 of 323. However, there is no such thing as an ultimate deal breaker-- so provide some context for the programs-- what else was going on in college that caused the less than stellar results? Were you not as mature? Was there a health issue? Was there one bad term? If so don't make excuses but show that you own this. In general a 3.0 ish gpa is not going to be a super deal breaker if everything else is good. More good news-- there are not that many applicants from your region so that helps you bring diversity to the class and also the MbA programs will evaluate your performance in the context of your culture so it is not that easy to just try to convert your grades. Focus on the other strengths and if you feel your quant is weak then take something like HBx core or a quant class.

I would like to ask your opinion specifically on one subject though. My GPA is a 4.9 on a scale of 1.0 to 7.0 (Chilean standard grading system). I am finding it difficult to convert that grade into the American system, but from what I've been researching, it is around a 2.6 - 3.3. My university's guidelines indicate that the appropriate conversion for that grade would be to a B+ (3.3), but I don't know whether the universities that I apply to will see it the same way.

My questions are:
- Do you have an estimation of what my GPA is in "American terms"? See my answer above that this is not really an apples/apples thing and you need to add in your cultural norms here
- Do you think that the other aspects of my application could compensate for this lower GPA? yes I do-- especially if you own your past and show you have grown from it

As mentioned before, I graduated 216 out of 323.

Thank you very much in advance, I really appreciate it.
