The other factor that could slightly work against you is your age. Being 31 by the time of matriculation is definitely on the older side and that tends to be a minor negative for some candidates. Still, you're closer to 30 than 35, so I wouldn't sweat about it. Plus, it's not like you can change this about your candidacy!

You should definitely consider the U.S. to broaden your programs. A Filipino background will be additive as a diversity component. There's a lot that goes into school choice, so definitely reach out to us to discuss more about a potential list that's categorized as reach, target and safety. We'd be interested in learning more about your preferences and tolerance for risk in this application process. For example, how important is international reputation? Do you want to be in a city? What about job placement in finance/corporate finance? How much money in scholarships is necessary? You get the idea...
