Responding to your questions:
1. Is my profile good enough to be considered in NUS/NTU or maybe other top 10-50 schools? Should I aim for higher? My doubts stem from the additional time and money to be spent in applying to additional schools instead of focusing all my energy to more realistic schools.
Yes, from what I have read NUS and NTU sound like very good fits. You can definitely aim for higher if you'd like. Maybe pick 2 more schools that are considered "reaches" so you don't finish this process with any "what ifs" or regrets. Given your GPA is on the lower side, I would urge you to apply to more schools to give yourself a better chance at admission and scholarships further discussed below. I realize the application fees are not exactly "low" but relative to the cost of attending these programs and the opportunity you get from applying, it's worth it to invest upfront to open doors. You can also potentially get a fee waiver if you ask and provide a reason.
2. Would you recommend schools that are better suited for my career choices and profile?
I would need to know more. Do you only want to go to schools in Asia? Are you also considering the US? Do you want to study finance or are you looking for a broader curriculum?
3. What chances do I have of getting a scholarship? Do you have you have any advise on how to secure better odds at a scholarship in any school?
Scholarships are very hard to determine! It goes a level or two beyond determining admission to the schools themselves, which is hard enough. Scholarships are often based on some combination of performance (GPA/GMAT), geographic or ethnic representation, and industry/sector. You need to ace the GMAT and write killer essays. The rest is kind of out of your hands.
4. Would you know if people having 600-690 GMAT scores still had chances of getting scholarships?
Yes, but as you can imagine you have to start dropping down your list. The lower the GMAT, the harder it is to get into top schools and, consequently, get scholarship money.
