Hello, I'm Amit. Originally from northern India, I come from a small town. At the moment, I'm studying at a small college in my city. I'm planning to apply for a deferred MBA at a few top US business schools. It's my dream to study MBA at a top US business school.
Even though I am not from a top Indian university like the IITs or NITs, I still want to give it a try.
I just want to know if my profile is good enough to get into top US deferred MBA programs. The following is a list of my qualifications.
Name - Amit Singh
Education - Bachelor of arts (2.2 GPA), Master of Arts (3.8 GPA), Bachelor of business studies (3.6 GPA).
Leadership- High school football captain, college sports committee leader, worked for a non-profit for two years
extracurriculars - Played football state level & state level shooting competition.
cocurricular - Won many sports competitions at school and university level, won a marketing case competition at college.
* I've two bachelor's degrees One in Arts and the other in business.
* I'll also be preparing for GMAT this year and will try to get a score above (720).
* I'll be working for an FMCG company for two years as an area sales manager.
- Is my profile decent enough to get into top us MBA programs? What should I do in the coming 2 years to increase my chances and make my profile more competitive to get into my dream (M7) schools? Would a low GPA in my 1st undergrad degree affect my chances and should I apply on the bases of my second undergrad degree?
