Hi
cheran, this is Kate from
mbaMission. Thanks for sharing your profile with us.
First, in terms of your academic background, your GPAs seem to be on the lower side, though it does sound like you challenged yourself. With that in mind, a strong GMAT score is important. For top schools, aim for above 730.
Next we look at your professional background. The focus on EdTech is interesting as it's not the most common pre-MBA field and it sounds like you progressed quickly and have gotten a lot of functional exposure. In terms of post-MBA goals, consulting may be more realistic if it does truly interest you, and then entrepreneurship could be more realistic as a long-term goal.
Lastly we evaluate your extracurriculars and personal factors. Here it seems like you have some good things but they are not as fresh as we'd like, so definitely recommend restarting the blog or accelerating your community leadership in some other way. The cultural aspect is interesting and you could definitely bring that into your essays and show how it has impacted you and your values today. It should help differentiate you from other applicants from India, though remember that it's still an overrepresented group overall.
Overall it seems like you have many promising components of your profile. Obviously top 50 is a lot of schools, so once you know your GMAT score you can narrow from there. Good luck!

Post MBA Plans:
• Consulting since I do want to change field, or Education based Entrepreneurship if that would be a safer bet.
Also, to ask here, - I represent as a member of a matrilineal and matrilocal community in India – one of the only few communities in the world and I thought of using this as a diversity factor in applications. Would this come under the underrepresented category?
Unsure how it may pan out.
I do plan to look at top 50 Universities but not sure where I stand right now.
