Hi Kate,

Lovely to hear back from you on my profile.

My academics definite have been on the lower side. despite good scores in high school, my undergraduate CGPA brought my academics down quite a bit. I was in University of Calcutta for that time and later did my masters in Christ University,, Bangalore. Not top tier for sure, but I'm hoping that I can reflect on the hard work I've put in improving my academic somewhere in the application.

I also forgot to add that I've also been working as a Freelance Content Writer apart from my 9-5 job and I'm wondering- would ideally be added as an extracurricular or as a professional work?

I'll definitely be looking more at bringing better clarity on my post MBA Goals since I've honestly not checked on what type of consulting I can go for. Really appreciate your inputs at this point of time!

Thanks for sharing additional context and yes you can typically use the optional essay/additional info section to explain any context around your academic performance.

Regarding the freelance work, it depends on how much you do and what the nature of it is, but I'm more inclined to add it as an extracurricular rather than confuse it with your full time work experience.

You may find our free post-MBA career guides helpful, there's one about consulting: https://shop.mbamission.com/collections/career-guides

Good luck!
Kate
