Hi,

You have a decent profile. Your academics and work experience are really good. The only lacking thing in your profile is a good GMAT Score. Considering your profile and B-Schools you have shortlisted above, I would suggest you to retake your GMAT and target for 700+ GMAT Score.

The list of B-Schools you have shortlisted are good but I would also like to add B-Schools like IMD and Nanyang Business School as these B-Schools are good for consulting.

You may also gauge your chances of getting admission to top business school by trying this amazing tool https://bit.ly/1C9o2Md

You can also get your free profile evaluation done by the top Ivy league B-School grads during the webinar conducted by General Education on 3rd of May'15. For registration and more details visit our website https://www.genedmba.com/webinars-seminars/

Hope that helps.

Cheers!

A short summary of my profile:

Indian/IT/Female/27

GMAT - 660 [not sure whether to take a retest]
10th - 87%
12th - 88%
BE - 83%

Extra -curriculum activities - good. [Won multiple accolades in debate, extempore, anchoring, drama ]

International Experience - 1 year (Canada + Israel, multiple recognitions )

Career graph:
5 yrs work exp in Amdocs, a leading software provider in telecom domain. I joined the organisation as a trainee, but with four promotions in span of 5 years, quickly rose to senior consultant, working closely with sales team on branding of new product.
1 yrs work exp in Oracle Product India Ltd. - got chance to work in cutting edge technology and futuristic products.

MY expectation from MBA is either to stay in IT domain or move to consulting.

Colleges shortlisted:
1. HEC Paris
2. SDA Bocconi
3. Rotterdam B School
4. ISB
5. INSEAD (confused as GMAT score is low)

Please suggest whether I stand a fair chance in any of the above colleges. MY preference is of 1 yr MBA.

Agree with the posts above that a higher GMAT score will help at b-schools like ISB and INSEAD.

Either try for higher GMAT score or go for top 10-25 b schools in USA. With your extracurriculars, international experiences and progressive work experience you have a decent chance of admit with financial aid.. I'd recommend a 2 yr MBA..

You seem like you have a pretty interesting profile. Amdocs is a good company and you've done very well there. You also have a nice chunk of international experience. What were you looking to do post-MBA (short-term job and company)? Where did you go to undergrad? Why do you want to do a 1 year MBA vs 2 year?

Depending on what sort of job you'd like to get post-MBA......I'm not sure all the schools you listed are the best schools to target. You might be shooting a little low actually. You definitely need to retake the GMAT. Did you only take it once so far? Once you have a final GMAT score you should talk with a consultant about which schools to target based on your professional goals.

Best,
Leah
