Hello,
Would really appreciate some help evaluating my profile.
I'm a 26 year Indian male with a engineering under-grad degree. 4 years of work experience. 2 years with the consulting practice of a big 4 audit firm, 2 more with a boutique management consulting firm.
I wrote the GMAT today and scored a 720. However, that came with a disappointingly low 44 in the quant section. I'm not a quant whiz, like most other indians, by any means, but i'd been pretty consistently scoring 48/49 in the mock tests that i took. Given my fairly strong verbal section, i hoped to score a 740+ ,if not higher and apply to some of the top 20 schools. Putting the score down to sleep deprivation and nerves.
Would you consider this profile, with a well written essay a competitive one considering the kind of schools i want to apply to?
Do most schools look at sectional cut-offs? If so, will a Q44 hold me back significantly on my application?
Thanks!
