Hi Jon!

Thanks very much for the thoughtful evaluation.

I've regularly volunteered at my church over the years though I must admit I wonder how much credit I would receive given what appears to be an increasingly agnostic/atheist society that we live in.

As for my undegrad, my GPA deteriorated in my last year as I worked over 20 hours a week in a stock brokerage. Is my 3.5 GPA low enough to warrant an optional essay to explain this?

As for the schools, I do realise I'm taking a risk by sticking to top 4 but I'm open to the schools you mentioned perhaps for round 2 just as you advice.

Well, I do think church work is highly appreciate, and even an atheist can appreciate the time you give back to your community, so it's more a question of how involved and motivated you are than it being church or something else.

For your second question, a 3.5 is too good a GPA to need an explanation, so I'd just leave it alone.
