Hi mbaMission,
I would appreciate a profile evaluation and some advices concerning GMAT score and personal statement.
I am an international student.
Age: 22
Undergraduate degree: Bachelor of Business Administration in Italy.
Work experience: two years as business developer in a medium Italian company.
Extra curricular experiences:
Professional soccer player in Italy for a few years.
Member of Italian Young Entrepreneur Association
Co-founder of a small company operating in Australia as importer for italian racing-car components.
GMAT: 560 (Q 44 , V 23). It is a low score, especially the Verbal Score. My target course is Master of Management at University of Melbourne. The average is 610, but I do not know the middle 80%. Do you have some info concerning GMAT requirement for that course in my target school?
I am not sure whether my score could weak my application as I do not know how much importance my target school gives to the GMAT since GMAT score is a requirement only for International student and not for Australian student.
How could I balance the low score in my personal statement? And on what should I put emphasis?

Your verbal score is especially low, as you know. When do you plan on applying? Is there any way to retake the GMAT and bring up the verbal side? The admissions committee will want to know that you possess the verbal ability to handle the courseload in English. If you do not retake the GMAT, can you point to an analogue that better represents your ability to speak and communicate? You will want to point to those examples as much as you can.
