Hi JonAdmissionado,
First up, a few thoughts -
1) Thanks for many things on this forum - profile evals, insightful essay analyses etc
2) I really like your website & documents - great design, nice fonts, fun to read
3) Thank you for reading this post and sharing your thoughts. Much appreciated.

Situation -
Indian Male | 30 yrs old
UG - Univ of Delhi - B.A. English (57%) [You may know this, but Univ of Delhi scores are generally low, highest scores in the range of 70%]
PG - Univ of Delhi - MBA (59%) - graduated in 2011
GMAT - 770 (Q49 / V47)
Work Ex - 4 different roles at largest market research firm in the world (6+ years, 2011 till now)
Role 1- Rotational Leadership Program (India)
Role 2- Client Servicing (insights & analytics) for top snacking company (India)
Role 3- Global Internal Audit & Consulting team (traveled to and worked on projects in US, Chile, Mexico, Switzerland, Dubai etc)
Role 4 (Current) - Client Servicing (insights & analytics) for one of the largest CPG companies in the world (based in their HQ in USA)

Multiple awards in roles, also plenty of leadership experience leading important internal projects
Not much volunteer experience, specially outside work
Some extracurrics related to music etc during college
Post MBA goal - Strategy Consulting (preferably MBB - CPG practice)
Current Status - Applied to 2 schools in R1 (MIT - Denied without interview, Ross - Interviewed)
Plan for R2 - thinking of Kellogg, Booth, Yale & maybe Stanford
Not sure if I should apply to Wharton and/or NYU

Questions for you -
1) Overall thoughts on profile (specially now that we have real data points w.r.t MIT & Ross)
2) Thoughts on R2 school selection - am I aiming right? should i add/remove any schools?
3) Any other quick tips / guidance specific to my profile

P.S. - If you could reply without "quoting" my post, I'll be very grateful.

Hey dude,
So I was just about to quote your post when.... :)

Anyhow saved by the bell, yeah?

So to get into things. Let's start with your current results - It's hard to use them as "data points" because I don't know what your application or recommendations look like. You may have done them well, you may have done them poorly... something in between. And a LOT will depend upon cohesion there.

So looking at things from the top you have a few minor weaknesses and they are:
- Coming from large Indian applicant pool
- Non-IIT
- Low GPA

But there are many strengths too. You aren't in IT. You have TONS of global experience from what I can see, and obviously that amazing GMAT. Given your strengths and weaknesses I would say that Top five schools (H/S/W Booth/Sloan) would be a challenge, and then your "Sweet spot" would be in the 5-15 range. Kellogg does seem like a nice target for you, given that you are coming from a marketing background.

My advice: Make as MANY applications as you can in the remaining time. And have someone look at your applications before you start writing anew! You want to fix whatever may have gone wrong, before you try again.

I hope this helps, and if you have any other questions, do not hesitate.
