Hi again,

Happy to help.

The MBA vs Masters in Finance is a good question to consider, and there are a lot of differences. I wouldn't say it's as black-and-white as 'which will get me a better job'. It really depends upon the exact job/s you would be considering, both shorter and longer term. In some ways, the MBA provides a more broad education and degree which arguably can be used in a larger number of ways. But if you know you will be very focused on finance for your career, a Masters in Finance can really enhance and showcase that particular skill area.

Here are some other articles to review when making that distinction, and again I'd suggest you ask that of hiring managers/HR at companies you'd be interested in working in!

Yes I think it would be wise to look into another job; or volunteering; or internship etc in the very near future. ;) Keep in mind you'd likely have a year before matriculating (?) so schools would generally expect you would apply for another job, fyi. As for the actual GMAT score, my advice is not to focus so much on a given score, but aim to score as high as you possibly can, and go from there. It's not uncommon to take the exam more than once, and you want to be at or above the average score at a given school is possible, so another shot is sometimes needed and accepted.

Good luck to you!
