Hi! I was wondering if someone could evaluate my profile and give me some suggestions to what schools I could apply with a reasonable chance to get admitted.

Age: 23 y.o
Graduated Bachelor of finance with a 4.5/5 from BI Norwegian Business School
GMAT: 780 (51Q, 45V)
CFA Level 1 passed.

What I see as a bottleneck to my profile is that I got no relevant work experience. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Hi there,

Well I'll need more info to evaluate your profile but what you have mentioned points to an excellent profile. Plus MS courses are designed for students with less/no work ex. And with that GMAT score you should be able to get into top US MFin programs of Wharton, Columbia or Stern. But depends what are you target schools?

Best,

You'll get into whatever schools you want. Great GPA, amazing GMAT, BI is a respected school and CFA L1.

LSE - in
LBS - in
Bocconi - in with money
St. Gallen - in

US programs, in at all with a high probability of an acceptance at MIT.

Really great profile.

BTW - Wharton, Columbia or Stern do not have MFin programs. Wharton doesn't even have a MFE program. Bad advice, beware.

Columbia offers MS in Financial Economics & Stern Offers MS in Global Finance & Risk Management. I do apologise for making a generalised statement there about Wharton. Thanks MSFHQ for correcting me.

Best,

Thanks a lot for the replies. Really thought my lack of relevant work experience (internships) and leadership experience would have a bigger impact. I do however invest my own capital (about $25k) which probably counts toward relevant extracurricular atleast.
