Your current GMAT score does not align with Cambridge's expectations. Reassessing and potentially improving your GMAT score is definitely needed. An early application for the 2026 intake, specifically in the initial round, may also provide an advantage. Use this opportunity to refine your application and position yourself for a more favorable outcome.

Applying in a late round with 550 GMAT score wont help you much. Suggest you apply with a higher GMAT score

Your GMAT Focus score of 555 is a major hurdle, most admits score 650+. Given the competitiveness of Round 4, improving your GMAT should be your top priority. Beyond that, focus on crafting a clear career vision, highlighting your leadership impact, and securing strong, narrative-driven recommendations. As retaking the GMAT won't be feasible now, applying in Round 1 next year would significantly improve your chances. With the right strategy, you can position yourself as a competitive applicant.

Hi Kamil0607,

Your profile demonstrates a strong foundation—diverse work experience across finance, insurance, and telecom, leadership roles in both corporate and NGO settings, and valuable experience as a startup co-founder.

However, your GMAT score (555 FE) is on the lower end of the competitive range for Cambridge. Additionally, applying in Round 4 can be more challenging due to limited spots remaining in the class.

To maximize your chances, I’d strongly recommend retaking the GMAT to aim for a more competitive score and applying in an earlier round next year (Rounds 1 or 2). A stronger GMAT, combined with your solid professional background, will significantly enhance your application.

Feel free to schedule a complimentary call with our MBA consultants for a more detailed discussion. You can also connect with them via call or WhatsApp at +91 7780769732.
