Unfortunately, I think you are stuck between a rock and a hard place on the GRE. There is really no explanation that you can offer that will influence AdCom. What could you possibly offer to them for why you scored lower that would be considered "acceptable?"

Unfortunately, the low Quant might hold you back for both of these ultra-selective programs. There is little to no room for error with the deferred MBA programs. GRE/GMAT is one area that carries a fair amount of weight.

Nevertheless, definitely apply, but assume you are not getting in (that's advice we give to most deferred MBA candidates) and plan to reapply in a few years.
