I would like a profile evaluation please. My target schools are Wharton, Kellogg, Haas, Booth and Stanford (these are not by choice but are governed by my organisations scholarship policy)
Me: 31, Male, Australian Indian
1) Brief description of your full-time work experience.
5 yrs - Coca Cola - India and US- Manufacturing and Supply Chain incl 3 yrs as Production Mgr of a bottling plant
3 yrs - Big 4 consulting - Australia - Management Consultant - Innovation and Process Performance - working with a spectrum of clients from Oil and Gas, Telcos, Utilities and Fin Services
2) GMAT.

3) College info: - Chem Engineering - Top 10 College in India - 3.5 GPA
4) Significant college and post-college extra-curricular activities or community service, especially leadership experience.
- College Cultural Society Member
- Active in sports both at a college and corporate level
- CSR Lead for Coca Cola with local communities - activities including Rainwater Harvesting, Best Practices in farming, Education support etc.
- Involved in various local informal community initiatives in Australia e.g. help with integration of new migrants into Australia
5) Member of APICS , Lean Six Sigma Certified
6) As this MBA Will be co-sponsored by my organisation - will come back to Management Consulting

hi dmz, I'm seeing a couple of potential disadvantages in your profile if you're targeting these top schools. First off, your GMAT is going to be a bit of a handicap only because the applicant pool from which you're going to be competing with usually has a stronger GMAT. And unfortunately, while your undergrad grade is awesome, more emphasis will be placed on the GMAT since you're going to be an international applicant. (I'm not discounting how your GPA may offset a lower GMAT). Secondly, your age is a bit higher than average published age. This may not necessarily be a disadvantage, but you just need to make sure that you convince the AdComs why 'now' is the best time for you to re-enter into a academic setting. Lastly, if you're only targeting the programs that your organization is sponsoring for, just go ahead and apply. I'm going to take a guess and say that if you don't get in these programs, you will not be pursuing an MBA from any other schools. And if that's the case, just apply and see where it takes you.
