Hi
md2021,
Thank you for sharing your profile. Starting with stats, your undergrad GPA is good, and GMAT you are targeting is competitive. For deferred programs, usually, 730+ is considered as best. So keep working on it to achieve the same. Adcoms assess applicant’s profiles for deferred programs based on academics, ECs, and impactful experiences. I recommend that you gain valuable experience from your internship at FAANG, as this will help you demonstrate impact and leadership. You need to work on your ECs. They are significant because they inform readers and listeners about your special characteristics that are not found in your work. So, when selecting ECs to use in your applications, choose wisely. As a result, it is not necessary to move mountains or do great things in this field, but it is important to show certain hobbies that are unique and interesting.
If you focus on ECs and add value to your work profile, you will have a better chance of getting into your desired schools. However, you would need to put in a lot of effort to improve your profile.
If you need any direction/guidance over any aspect of your application and have any specific concerns, you can ask us on the forum

Hi, I am a college student currently studying in India and looking to apply to the Deferred MBA programs at some universities in the US in 2022.
Background:
Age/Gender: 21/F
Nationality: USA (Ethnicity: Asian (India))
B.E. Computer Science from a Tier 1 college in India
GPA: 8.3/10
Joining a FAANG this summer as a Software Engineering Intern
Chapter Lead at a non-profit organization
Target GMAT: 720-740
Target schools for deferred admission: Chicago Booth, MIT Sloan, Northwestern Kellogg, Columbia, UC Berkeley Haas
Others: Yale Silver Scholar's Program
Would really appreciate knowing my chances at these schools, areas of improvement, anything that I can do to add to this profile since I have a lot of time before applying. Also, would I have a better chance at getting in after 2-3 years of work experience or should I try for deferred admission also?
Thank you so much!
