Hi All,
Thanks in advance for taking a look at my EMBA profile. I am just starting my EMBA search and wanted to gauge my chances of acceptance to an elite program.
Age: 31
Education: BS in Mathematics and Economics from a low ranked state school, top 65 public USNWR, (think: Arizona, Kansas, Kentucky, Temple)
GPA: 2.9 Overall, 3.4 last 60 hours, 3.6 Major (could be a weak point, very unfocused by first two years)
GMAT: Have not taken yet, relatively strong test taker, 95th (1350) Percentile SAT in HS. Very strong quant and analytical skills.
Work Experience: 7 years, progressive management experience of my families medical device company, ~$20M AR and 2 Years SVP of a biotech startup.
Sales --> Product Management --> Director - Product Dev --> VP - Strategy and member of executive leadership team. Clear path to CEO within 10 years.
Projects: Launched 4 products with annual revenue over $1M combined and built a network of 10+ independent sales reps. Lead digital transformation from paper traceability system to proprietary ERP, created architecture and was project manager over remote development team. Introduced lean and created supply chain division. Currently working on two initiatives that will 2x EBITDA after completion with a sub 200 day break even.
Sourced two next generation OBL products from international CMOs that will yield $6-8M ARR post CE Marking, 5-7 year timeline.
Current Direct reports include Dir - Supply Chain, Dir - HR, Dir - IT. Currently the head of strategy and acquisitions, product development, supply chain, and product manager for two surgical divisions.
I am planning to apply to Duke CCMBA, Wharton EMBA, Sloan EMBA, and possibly Booth and Kellogg EMBA.
Please let me know if I am way off base in the caliber of programs I am targeting given my background. I would like to continue to build skills to lead my family business and grow the business to $50M during my tenure through increases in marketshare, product porfolio, and grow the biotech side of our business substantially through scientific partnerships and acquisitions.
I do no volunteer work and focus all of my time on the business and our startup JV.
Thank you,
