Hello team,
I will be appearing for my GMAT on 28 Aug, 2021 but wanted to get your thoughts on my profile in-order to understand what would be a suitable GMAT score to start the application process. Mentioned below are my details -
Demographic: 33, Indian, Male
GMAT Score: Yet to appear
Education:
Class X: 86.8% (2003)
Class XII: 67.2% (2005)
Graduation: Mechanical Engineering - RGTU, Bhopal, CGPA of 5.9/10 (2005 - 2009)
Post Graduation: Post Graduate Diploma in Management - IMT, Ghaziabad, CGPA of 6.5/10 (2011 - 2013)
Work-Ex:
Duration - 6 years
Organizations worked for - PwC India, EY India, AIG, Protiviti
Current designation - Senior Consultant
Job role - Technology Consulting, IT Risk Advisory
International exposure - Worked with PwC Middle east for a year
Extracurricular:
Completed advanced mountain climbing course from a govt. recognized institute
Attained USPA Class A license in professional parachuting (license currently expired)
Languages- English(Fluent),Hindi(Native)
Role after MBA- Consulting/ Marketing
Aiming for the following colleges -
Kelley, Indiana

1. How much should be my minimum GMAT score to begin with my application? What round should I start applying in R1/R2 in case my GMAT score is <700?
2. Is there a chance of getting any scholarship for my profile?
3. I would appreciate if you could kindly suggest colleges for the 'Dream, Target and Achievable' categories.

Your work experience looks solid, with some impressive companies for which you have worked. I also like your international exposure, and I am sure you have made an impact in your consulting roles. Make sure to emphasize the leadership you have demonstrated at work.
As for your extracurriculars, have you been involved in any organizations where you have impacted others? If so, definitely mention that on your resume and your application in general.
Your GPA seems to be around average, which is all the more reason to have a very strong GMAT score. The average score for your demographic at those target schools is likely around a 720, so hopefully you can score at or ideally above that. You also have nothing to lose by taking it multiple times.
To answer your other question, ideally you can apply in Round 1, as that will give you a slightly better chance at admission, but if some of your applications are not ready, then Round 2 is still fine. Earning a scholarship is much more competitive than even gaining admission, but the higher your GMAT score is, the better chance you have. You do have a chance at these schools, and while they are all quite competitive, I would say your biggest “Reach” schools are probably Kenan-Flagler and McCombs.
