Hi
Akshay188,
Thank you for sharing your profile. Your profile looks good on the surface. Starting with stats, your undergrad scores are low, but you can compensate with a strong GMAT score and overall profile. You have a good 6 years of experience on the work front, which will undoubtedly help you bring compelling stories to the table. You must demonstrate career progression (how you outperform your colleagues), roles and responsibilities you have taken on, and impact. Your international experience should provide a global perspective to your profile and demonstrate your ability to deal with various people. Your ECs sound good. This thrilling experience will add diversity to your apps.
Answering your concerns:
1. How much should be my minimum GMAT score to begin with my application? What round should I start applying in R1/R2 in case my GMAT score is <700?
From the schools you have selected, I suggest you aim for 700+ at least ( For Indian applicants getting 20-30 points more than the average score is recommended) to increase your chances. You should start preparing for your application for R1. In case your GMAT is low (by august), you can continue your process and apply for R2, at least some part of your application will be done, and you can aim for a good GMAT score. You need to start early and take a couple of months just to brainstorm.
2. Is there a chance of getting any scholarship for my profile?
You will need to get a solid GMAT score and create strong apps. However, we have helped one of our applicants to get into
LBS with 690 GMAT score and 100% scholarship. Once we get to know in detail about your profile, we can guide you on this.
3. I would appreciate if you could kindly suggest colleges for the 'Dream, Target and Achievable' categories.
To suggest anything about this, I would need more details about your profile, and it depends on your GMAT as well. Also, the list of the schools gets improvised after you are ready with your ‘Branding for MBA’- Branding is how you portray your profile to business schools. It plays a key role in identifying which schools you have the maximum potential of converting. It is the pre-work that we do with all our applicants.
Hope this helps!
Overall you have a good profile. If you’d like, we are happy to hop on a call with you sometime this week to discuss your profile in length and gauge your fit for the schools. Feel free to
book a free session with us as per your convenience.
